Ford took the wraps off a special-edition Bronco at the 2022 Chicago Auto Show, but if you aren’t already a Bronco reservation holder, you probably won’t be able to buy one new.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades special edition starts with the Bronco’s off-road-focused Sasquatch Package and gets several unique features—key among them factory-installed air-intake snorkel, WARN-brand winch, and exclusive wheels—on top of that.
More from the Chicago Auto Show
The ZEON 10-S WARN winch is mounted to a heavy-duty modular front bumper by Ford Performance (Ford’s aftermarket-accessory arm). The winch has a 10,000-pound capability and a 100-foot synthetic line. The 17-inch Carbonized Gray-painted alloy wheels mount 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires.
Appearance features unique to the Everglades edition include front and rear wheel arches with a squared-off design, Carbonized Gray grille with gloss-black Bronco lettering, unique Everglades-topography body graphics on the front fenders, and Urban Green interior-trim accents. The interior comes standard with marine-grade vinyl seats and rubberized flooring for easier cleanup after muddy adventures.
Other standard features include the Bronco’s 300-hp turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine, a protective safari bar, rock rails, and chassis-protecting steel bash plates. The Bronco Everglades is restricted to five color choices: Eruption Green (shown here), Area 51 (a military-esque blue/gray color), Shadow Black, Cactus Gray, and Desert Sand (an Everglades-exclusive color).
The Everglades will start at $53,000 plus $1495 destination, and Ford says the order banks will open in March 2022—exclusively for existing Bronco reservation holders. Due in part to the current industry-wide production constraints, that means if you don’t already have a place in line, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get your hands on a 2022 Bronco Everglades. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if Ford offers similar special-edition Broncos for the 2023 model year, and beyond.

CG Says:
Like its Jeep Wrangler rival, the Ford Bronco is all about personalization and customization via factory and aftermarket accessories. This makes it relatively easy for Jeep and Ford to craft their own special-edition models by selecting from those long lists of accessories and adding a few unique trim touches and graphics to create limited-production models. The Everglades is one of the first in what will almost certainly be a long line of special-edition versions of the reborn Ford Bronco.
