The Titan Warrior Concept was built on the production-based Titan XD Crew Cab and its Cummins 5.0-liter turbodiesel engine, but it boasts a number of one-off features unspired by desert off-road racing and Paris-Dakar Rally treks. The ride height was raised almost three inches, a set of 37-inch-tall off-road tires on custom 18-inch alloy wheels was fitted, and the body width was extended three inches on each side for tire clearance. Other exterior design touches include custom LED headlights and taillights, LED off-road lights integrated into the roof, carbon fiber spoilers on the cab and tailgate, and matte-finish gunmetal paint with “Magma” orange accents.
The specially trimmed interior wears carbon-color fabric accented by Magma orange stitching and accents, auxiliary gauges and toggle switches, and hot and cold drink containers in the center console.
CG Says:
According to Nissan executive vice president José Muñoz, “this new Titan Warrior Concept gives an important signal to American truck enthusiasts that our vision for exploring new boundaries remains strong.” The new Nissan Titan certainly looks menacing in full-on off-road trim, and a showroom version of the Warrior could be a viable niche market for Nissan. If nothing else, a Nissan Titan Warrior production model would give Ford’s rugged F-150 Raptor lineup—which has gone pretty much unchallenged by OEM rivals since its introduction as a 2010 model—some interesting competition.
