Jaguar XJL
XJL models ride on a wheelbase 5 inches longer than standard XJs. That added length shows up primarily as rear-seat legroom, which is vast.

CG Says:

In long-wheelbase “L” form, the Jaguar XJ becomes a veritable limousine, coddling rear-seat passengers like no stretched Lincoln Town Car ever did. The $7750 Premium Rear Seat Package enhances the second-row passenger experience with a lavish array of power accessories, including massaging seats.

Our test car impressed us additionally by returning more than 23 mpg during its stay–impressive, given this car’s power and size. The standard 3.0-liter supercharged V6 is both strong and refined, providing ample off-the-line muscle along with plenty of reserve oomph for passing and merging.

What the XJL lacks compared to the big sedans from the German luxury makers is a taut, buttoned-down sense of control at highway speed. This large Jag certainly rides and handles well, just not quite as well as the class leaders.

Jaguar XJL Premium Rear Seat Package
The Premium Rear Seat Package reduces rear seating capacity to two, but ensures those two passengers will be very comfortable. Along with the heated and massaging seats, the package includes dual entertainment monitors, power reclining seatbacks, power sunshades, and writing tables that flip down from the front seatbacks.
