A 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk (front) is displayed next to a Renegade Limited featuring custom trim bits sourced from the Jeep Authentic Accessories catalog.

Jeep displayed two concept vehicles at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, both based on the soon-to-be-released Renegade compact SUV.

As the name implies, the Trailhawk is outfitted with off-road hardware, and also gets distinctive interior and exterior treatments. Commando Green paint is joined by grey and red accents both inside and out, along with a map of Detroit emblazoned on the hood. Making the Trailhawk more capable when the pavement ends are hardware modifications that include skid plates underneath and rock rails at the sides. The roof hosts cross rails and a roof basket for hauling gear.

Also shown was a Renegade aimed at the urban grind. Based on the 4×4 Limited model, it sports distinctive “Anvil” paint with orange accents on numerous interior and exterior trim pieces. Katzkin leather covers the seats, and authentic Jeep accessories include carpeted floor and cargo mats along with Jeep logo door sills.

CG Says:

It isn’t even on sale yet, but Jeep is dressing its new “subcompact” Renegade with special paint, trim, and Jeep accessories to show off how it can be “flavored” for individual tastes. With all the Jeep accessories—and shades of paint—available, the combinations would seem endless, but Jeep customers seem to embrace the “Have it your way” philosophy, so why not? Harder to lose it in a parking lot ….
