Cadillac is expanding its portfolio of performance-minded “V” products by applying the label to its LYRIQ all-electric SUV. With immense power on tap, brand officials are expecting the LYRIQ-V to be the quickest Cadillac to date.

Design
Exterior updates for the V are subtle and tasteful with unique wheels, front fascia and rocker panels. All will have a two-tone paint finish that includes a black roof with fixed panoramic glass. Interior treatments include a V-specific steering wheel, 33-inch diagonal instrument and infotainment display, 23-speaker audio system, and power-adjustable side bolsters for both front-seat occupants.

Range
It’s the running gear where the LYRIQ-V matters. It starts with a 102-kWh battery pack that is good for a maximum projected driving range of 285 miles. Power gets to all four wheels via a dual-motor system producing an estimated 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Drivers can tap into the system’s full potential via a new “Velocity Max” option that, when combined with the included launch control, Cadillac says will propel the vehicle from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds.

Other performance-enhancing hardware includes a “Competitive Mode” that is supposed to dynamically alter traction to improve handling. Brembo-brand brake calibers are designed to bring the nearly three-ton SUV to a quick stop.
The 2026 Cadillac LYRIQ-V is slated to enter production in early 2025. Pricing starts at $79,990 including manufacturer destination fee.
CG Says
“V” has been an important letter to Cadillac’s brand identity for more than a decade. We’ve seen it applied to some truly impressive vehicles, many of which deserved far more love from the public than what they achieved in sales. While it’s good Cadillac wants to expand this moniker, we would simultaneously urge caution, lest they dilute its value, much like with what Mercedes-Benz has done with its AMG performance arm.
