The 2023 Palisade gets a blockier, edgier look via a new front fascia and grille design, along with new headlights and daytime running lights. The rear bumper fascia and 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheel design are new as well.
The Palisade’s cabin gets several new available features, including heated third-row seats, a WiFi hotspot, digital-camera-display rearview mirror, USB-C ports instead of USB-A ports for quicker device charging, and a 15W wireless charging pad in place of the previous 5W unit. An “Ergo-motion” driver’s seat designed for improved long-drive comfort is now offered, and the second-row seats get adjustable “wing-out” headrests, adjustable-height armrests, and available ventilation.

A new steering wheel fronts a revised dashboard layout that includes “hidden” horizontal air vents, new digital instrument-panel and audio-interface designs, and new ambient lighting themes. Enhanced Bluelink remote-connectivity features include maintenance alerts, vehicle status notifications (which inform owners if the vehicle’s doors are unlocked or the windows are open), the addition of features such as remote seat heating and ventilation functions to the remote-start system, and remote management of driver preferences.
The 291-hp 3.8-liter V6/8-speed automatic powertrain is carried over, but all-wheel-drive models get a Tow Mode that alters powertrain parameters to optimize trailering performance.
The Palisade’s XRT trim follows the same rugged/dark-themed look as Hyundai’s compact Tucson and two-row midsize Santa Fe XRT models. The Palisade XRT gets unique front/rear fasciae with skid-plate design elements, beefier-looking lower door trim, black roof rails, dark-finish front grille, and dark-finish 20-inch wheels.
The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is slated to go on sale this summer.
CG Says:
The Hyundai Palisade and its Kia Telluride cousin were widely heralded as midsize-SUV home runs when they debuted for the 2020 model year. The Palisade added a luxuriously trimmed top-line model called Calligraphy for 2021, but the changes for 2023 mark its first significant update. This looks to be a perfectly executed mid-cycle refresh—it brings a crisp new look and several desirable available features that are almost certain to make the Palisade even more popular.
