As of July 2023, Kelly Blue Book reported that the average transaction price for a new vehicle was $48,334. That figure is not likely to decrease any time soon when you factor in continued supply shortages, rampant inflation, and high interest rates. Even with this upward pressure, people are still clamoring for new rides with most automakers posting positive sales growth in 2023. As such, in-person auto shows remain an important part of manufacturers’ marketing efforts. Here is an updated schedule for key exhibitions that remain in 2023 and will be coming up in 2024.

It will continue to pay homage to the past with exhibits like “The Garage” while also showcasing the industry’s latest advancements. There will also be plenty of opportunities for consumers to take test drives on various outdoor tracks.

It may not have the flash of LA or New York or as much industry influence as Detroit, but Chicago is arguably the most important auto show where it truly counts: It consistently draws the most people who intend to purchase a new vehicle in the immediate future. Call us biased since this is Consumer Guide’s hometown show, but we don’t see that trend changing any time soon.

Residents from New York, New Jersey, and beyond pack Manhattan’s Javits Center for the city’s annual auto show. High-end manufacturers usually have a strong presence here, hoping to attract the region’s well-to-do clientele.

Manufacturers and third-party suppliers attending the SEMA Show take normal production vehicles and dress them up in all kinds of crazy and fun ways. While the show itself is not open to the public, there is a separate event called SEMA Fest that is.
