Detroit Auto Show

After experimenting with having its auto show in the middle of the year, the Motor City has moved their exhibition back to its traditional January time slot. This makes sense as the Detroit Auto Show has always been more for the industry and media than for consumers, though we expect there will still be plenty of automakers who elect to skip it as they did for LA.

Chicago is one of the longest-running and most well-attended auto shows on the continent. It may not have the sheer size it did before the COVID-19 pandemic, but it retains its place as the one to go to if you’re ready to open your bank account for a new ride.

While many automakers have reduced their presence at major shows, including the ones mentioned above, we don’t expect them to cut back in New York. New-vehicle turnover is very high in this region on account of most shoppers leasing, rather than financing, their rides. With this in mind, automakers will want to make it a point to bring their latest and greatest there.
