2025 Jeep Recon

Little else is known about the Recon aside from its name, design language, and a release date of “expected in 2024.” The Wrangler styling cues are obvious from the upright body shape, hood vents, prominent front tow hooks, chunky off-road tires, visible door hinges, and outside-mounted spare tire.

The powertrain, driving range, trim levels, and feature sets have yet to be revealed. We expect those details will come as part of an official unveiling at a major auto show. Hopefully it will be at Chicago in February, though we wouldn’t be surprised if the brand waited until New York in late March.

Pricing will likely come out a few weeks after the official launch. Expect some overlap between the Recon and gas/electric hybrid versions of the Wrangler, with the former ultimately coming out more expensive when fully loaded. If we had to guess, figure a base price of around $50,000 with a maxed-out spec topping $70,000.

CG Says:

Jeep could have taken the easy way out by slapping a fully electric drivetrain into a Wrangler and calling it a day. We’re glad the company is positioning the Recon as its own product. We’ll have to wait and see what the final specs, pricing, and driving experience are like before rendering any kind of judgment.
