Unless you put the vehicles side-by-side, you may have a tough time distinguishing the 2025 CT5 from its 2020-2023 sibling. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it’s still a handsome car. The new model gets a nip-and-tuck revision to the front fascia, with a lower and wider front grille and re-worked vertical headlights. The Sport grade receives a standard black mesh grille and black surrounds.
The interior sees the most changes with all models gaining a 33-inch diagonal curved instrumentation and infotainment display. Google built-in apps and services are included along with available high-speed 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability. On the safety front, blind-spot steering assist and intersection automatic emergency braking are newly standard. Driver attention assist is also now included on models equipped with GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system.

Powertrains are unchanged. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque is standard while a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet is optional. Both engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Traction-aiding all-wheel drive (AWD) continues as an option.
Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac CT5 will be announced closer to start of production, which is scheduled for spring of 2024. Refreshed versions of the high-performance CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing are also in the works, but no details were revealed at the Detroit show. We think Cadillac will reserve that announcement for the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

CG Says:
While its 2025 changes are not major, we’re still very pleased to see cars as an important part of Cadillac’s product portfolio. The updated tech is nice and should be enough to keep this premium midsize car in the running for another Consumer Guide Best Buy honor.
