Toyota is doubling down on its electrification strategy by doing away with gas-only engines on this high-volume sedan and including a single hybrid option. This powertrain is powered by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder that delivers 225 horsepower in the front-wheel-drive model and 232 horsepower with the all-wheel-drive option. In this new generation, for the first time, AWD will be available on all trim levels.

The 2025 Camry will come in four trims: LE, SE, XLE and XSE. The base models get a tech upgrade with Toyota’s newest infotainment system, a standard 8-inch display screen and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. The top two trims will get an upgraded 12.3-inch multimedia display as well as a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Along with the new infotainment system, the 2025 Camry will get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a standard Qi wireless phone charger. On the safety side of the spectrum, Camry will come standard with Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0 system as well as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The exterior and interior design is more of an evolution than a radical redesign, and the exterior still sports a wide open-mouthed grille and swoopy horizontal taillights. The contour lines are little more angular, and all models now come with standard LED headlights with automatic high beams. The interior has a more open feel, and a red interior is still available on the top-tier XSE trim.

The 2025 Toyota Camry is expected to go on sale in the spring of 2024.

5 Cool Things About the 2023 Honda Accord

CG Says:

The Toyota Camry received its last redesign in 2017 and was getting a little long in tooth. The much-needed infotainment upgrade packs a punch as does the addition of standard blind-spot monitoring. We’re intrigued by the death of the gas powertrain and will seriously miss the Camry’s smooth and potent V6. Plus, the addition of AWD to all trims makes this sedan a viable alternative to SUVs in northern, snowy climes.
