To commemorate the 60th anniversary of one of the automotive industry’s most iconic vehicles, Ford is creating a special appearance package for the 2025 Mustang. Limited to a production run of 1,965 units, the 60th Anniversary Package includes unique wheels, body trim, and graphics.
2025 Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package
The original Mustang debuted in April 1964 at the World’s Fair in New York City. While the first production cars were commonly referred to as “1964-1/2,” that technically wasn’t true as their serial numbers and titles showed them as being proper 1965 vehicles. The 1964-1/2 designation entered the enthusiast lexicon to distinguish the initial production run from cars built later in the model year as many changes were made mid-stream including engine availability and various interior and exterior trim bits.
For 2025, the 60th Anniversary Package will be available on the GT model in coupe or convertible and with manual or automatic transmission. Contents include unique 20-inch wheels, a new grille with an insert reminiscent of the 1965 model, exterior trim denoting the package, and a serialized badge on the gauge cluster.
Dealer and customer orders for the 60th Anniversary Package are scheduled to open this summer. Pricing will be revealed closer to that time, though we estimate an all-in range of around $52,000 to more than $60,000 depending on body style, transmission, and selection of other options.

The 60th Anniversary Mustang is far less gimmicky than other “special edition” appearance packages we’ve seen over the years. It’s a tasteful blend of paying homage to the past while maintaining modern design sensibilities. We just hope the people who buy these vehicles will actually drive them instead of keeping them locked in a garage to be sold for profit at a future auction.
