2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe
Mechanically very similar to the standard GV80, the Coupe will share that vehicle’s engine options, featuring a 300-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine or a 375-horsepower turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. Available exclusively in the Coupe will be the brand’s 409-horse E-supercharger 3.5-liter V6 which includes 48-volt “mild hybrid” assist. All engines mate to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The GV80 and GV80 Coupe will feature common exterior and interior styling, which is updated for 2025. Look for a freshened grille, headlight treatment, and an updated rear-end look. The cabin will be tweaked, as well.
No word yet regarding on-sale dates or pricing, though we’d expect the Coupe to start at least $4000 higher than the standard GV80.
CG Says:
After years of maintaining brand showrooms with just a two-sedan lineup, Genesis today is on a tear, adding new models and electrifying many of its existing products. A coupe version of the GV80 sends the right message, as Genesis will now be competing for the customers of such pricey niche products as the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. We like the look, and expect the new Coupe to be a relatively low-volume/high-profit product for the brand.
