Horse lovers probably remember 1965 very fondly. Not only was ’65 the first official model year of the insanely popular Ford Mustang, but there were horses all over TV as well.

Lorne Green and clan were TV’s most popular family, as the hit western Bonanza claimed the number-one viewership spot for the year. Never mind that Little Joe always wore the same jacket.
