The American station wagon has had many transformations over the years. It went from being seen as a commercial vehicle to being accepted as a passenger-car style. Wood body construction gave way to steel. And though four-door convenience made the most sense for such a vehicle, two-door wagons enjoyed a brief heyday that peaked in the mid Fifties.

2019 Cadillac CT6-V

Cadillac’s first high-performance “V” series offering was the 2004 CTS-V. The latest member of this tasty lineup of future collectibles is the full-size CT6-V sedan. It was announced in March 2018 at the New York Auto Show as the CT6 V-Sport, and the “Sport” suffix indicated it wasn’t considered a full-fledged V-series model. By September 2018, the company reconsidered and said the production car would be the 2019 CT6-V.

2004 Dodge Intrepid SXT

The 1993 Dodge Intrepid was one of Chrysler’s LH-platform front-wheel-drive large sedans that introduced trendsetting “cab-forward” styling and helped make the company one of the decade’s design leaders. A second-generation Intrepid wearing a more dramatic interpretation of the cab-forward look arrived for 1998, and a performance-flavored R/T version was added for 2000.
I have never read Frank Herbert’s science fiction epic Dune, but by the time I became aware that the 800-page novel was being adapted for the silver screen, I was pretty well versed on the story.
